Iceland: Golden Circle and Pingvellir National Park
One of the most beautiful routes I’ve ever traveled was along the Golden Circle in Southwest Iceland. This is located just outside of Reyjkavik.
We took the Golden Circle to Pingvellir National Park (which sits between two tectonic plates), Geysir, Gulfoss Waterfalls and Crater Lake. If you’re visiting Iceland, then this is a MUST DO!!
Rent a car or book a tour and make your way out of town to witness some of nature’s most lush landscapes. The scenery is full of contrasting horizons mixed with green pastures and snow capped mountains. I was amazed at the number of fast moving, flat rivers. I’ve never seen rivers so flat move so fast. It was breathtaking.
Iceland is, in one word… BEAUTIFUL!!
Make sure you have snacks and full tank of gas. There’s not much out there and depending on the time of the day that you go, the FEW things that are out there might be closed.
You’ve been warned!! 🙂
Technology Issues
Make sure you have plenty of storage on your camera and plenty of battery juice. I had the WORST time with technology on this trip. It was crazy!! I wish I had more footage of the landscape but my storage was full and I could not upload it to the cloud to free up space. That sucked!!
Needless to say, I plan to go back and take it all in and get even BETTER footage the next time. But until then, you can check out the video below to get a view of these beautiful places.
(Bonus: We have a free travel checklist to help prevent you from running into the issues that I ran into.)
Note: If you want to find out how to snatch up cheap flights, then you don’t want to miss this free training.
