Like most people, I did an extensive amount of research before heading to Iceland but nothing truly prepares you for the sticker shock once you land. Usually when there are cheap flights to a destination, it’s indicative of lower costs throughout the trip. This couldn’t be further from the truth in regards to Iceland. It’s cheap to get there on airlines like WOW Air but once you land, it’s a totally different story.
